How we handle personal data. Last updated 3 November 2026.
close.friends. studio, Sofia, Bulgaria, is the controller for personal data collected through this website. Questions go to hello@closefriends.house.
What we collect
Only what you send us. If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, optional company name, indicated budget range and the message you write. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry and, if it leads to work, to administer that relationship. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where a project follows, performance of a contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Records connected to work we deliver are kept for as long as tax and contract law requires, then deleted.
Processors
This site is hosted by our hosting provider, which processes server logs containing IP addresses for security and reliability. If email delivery is enabled for the contact form, the message contents pass through a transactional email provider. Both act on our instructions only.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@closefriends.house and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
Analytics and cookies
If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to count visits, see which pages and projects are viewed and where visitors come from, and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.) to see, in aggregate heatmaps and session replays, where people click and scroll. Both set cookies, keep IP addresses truncated or anonymised, and mask what you type into forms. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the "cookies" link in the footer. If you decline, Google Analytics only receives cookieless signals that contain no identifier, and Clarity does not load. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
We also keep your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask on every visit.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, for anyone with an active project, tell you directly.
