Empire of Corals: An AI Trailer for a Festival at Sea
By close friends.
How do you film six yachts that haven't set sail?
Empire of Corals, presented by PANIC FRAME and EXE, takes guests on a seven-day festival across six yachts on the Red Sea. We created the AI scenes in its launch trailer, from the yachts and the coral title to the charter plane and the scuba divers below the hull.

The challenge: a venue that never stays still
Empire of Corals has no stage to photograph. The festival is a week of music that moves across the sea, with a different location each day, six yachts and a charter flight to get there. None of it could be filmed in advance: no yachts in formation to shoot from the air, and no plane in the festival's colours.
The trailer needed to make an unfamiliar, moving venue easy to picture. Our job was to create the scenes that couldn't be captured before the event, and make them fit into the wider promotional video.
a new spot every day. try photographing that.
Our approach
Show the trip, not the line-up.
The yacht formation, the boats lit up after dark and the underwater diving sequence gave viewers a way to picture the experience being promoted. AI allowed us to create those scenes before the event took place, so the video sells the experience, not a list of features.

Make the name the image.
Empire of Corals needed a title worth remembering. We built the lettering out of red coral, rising from the sea in the trailer, so the name and the setting arrive as one picture.
Start the festival at the airport.
The trip begins with a direct charter flight, so we put the festival on the plane: an aircraft in PANIC FRAME and EXE colours on the runway, and a DJ set in the cabin. Before anyone reaches the sea, the party has already started.

Use AI for the promise, real footage for the atmosphere.
We created the yachts, the branded plane, the DJ set aboard the charter flight, the coral title and the underwater scenes with AI. The trailer also uses existing footage to communicate the atmosphere around the music and the crowds.
Together, the two make the planned experience easier to picture, while keeping the imagined scenes distinct from moments that actually happened.

The result: a trip people could see before booking
The 45-second trailer brings together the journey, the yachts and the experiences planned at sea, using AI-generated visuals alongside existing footage.
We created the scenes needed to show the event's scale and setting before its first edition, from the yacht formations and coral lettering to the branded aircraft and underwater sequence.
Before the yachts set sail, the audience had already seen them.

Yes, and it's one of the strongest uses for it. These appeared alongside existing footage in the finished 45-second trailer.
Sell the journey, because the venue changes every day. For Empire of Corals, we created AI scenes of six yachts in formation, a branded charter flight and scuba divers beneath the hull, so people could see the whole week at sea, from take-off to the island party, before booking.
Usually, yes. AI works best for what doesn't exist yet, such as a new venue or a branded plane. Real footage works best for what has already happened, such as past crowds and dance floors. The Empire of Corals trailer used AI for the yachts, the plane and the scuba dive, and real event footage for the parties.
