CI ESSE.

A website for a sportswear factory, made like one of its garments

Brands usually choose a factory after they've visited it. How do you show them the floor before they arrive?

CI ESSE has made sportswear for brands since 1989. We designed, wrote and built a website that brings its materials, machines and products together, from the opening animation to a catalogue created without a photoshoot.

We presented the project the way CI ESSE documents a garment, sheet by sheet.

The challenge

making manufacturing capabilities visible online.

A factory visit lets a brand inspect the equipment, understand the process and ask questions before choosing a production partner. CI ESSE needed its website to give buyers that context first.

It also needed a catalogue for four sports that looked like one collection, without organising a photoshoot, and a site buyers could judge from a phone between meetings.

Our approach

Sheet 01 · Fabric

Step 1 of 5

1. The fabric before the pitch.

The first thing a visitor sees is the material, not a slogan. We made a six-second loop of fabric in motion, under one line, “where performance meets production”, so the product is on screen before the pitch begins.

2. Proof before promises.

We placed CI ESSE's certifications early, from ISO 9001:2015 to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), followed by plain explanations of its process, written from the factory's own floor. A brand can follow its order from pattern to finished garment and see what each machine does, from sublimation and heat transfer to laser cutting and embroidery.

The questions every brand asks on the first call, such as minimum orders, custom patterns and lead times, are answered on the page.

3. A catalogue without a photoshoot.

We rendered all 20 products ourselves across football, volleyball, rugby and motocross, with close-ups of the print, and set them in a rotating showroom that opens onto the full catalogue, sport by sport. The 3D icons for CI ESSE's commitments, from eco-safe inks to recycled materials, share the hero material, so the promises look like the product.

5. The company's story as a timeline.

Manufacturer website FAQ

the short answers.

  • close friends., a creative studio based in Sofia, created the whole site for CI ESSE Trading, from structure and copy to motion, 3D icons, product renders and the Framer build. The live site is ciesseprint.com, presenting a manufacturer that has made sportswear since 1989.

  • Yes. Renders keep a catalogue consistent, can be updated without reshooting and work for products that don't yet exist in every colour. For CI ESSE, they turned kits for four different sports into one collection, with no studio, models or shipping samples required.

  • It should show buyers what they would see if they visited, the real process, the machines and the certifications the factory holds, then make the next step obvious. For CI ESSE, that includes ISO 9001:2015 certification, placed where buyers see it before reading anything else.

  • Yes. We design, write and build websites for companies that sell to other businesses as well as to customers. We can start from the photos and documents you already have, or create the visuals ourselves, as we did for CI ESSE's entire product catalogue.

Do your clients need to visit before they buy?
